Good Morning everyone. Caring about something or someone can be hard work and beautiful as we worry about an outcome that isn’t guaranteed. What can we do to make it more manageable? Let’s see.

We all need to recharge our battery and get comfy in our caves. But are we wearing out our welcome and if so, what can we do about it? This week’s blog looks at isolation.

On this day dedicated to Dr. King, we examine resentment. His extraordinary example sets precedent that we can move on to the love we all desire.

Having “go-to” references when we are struggling is important. It can be anything; a lyric, a mantra, a poem. It’s design is meant to bring us to a more balanced place so we make better decisions. This one came to me the other day, and now I’m a little stronger because of it.

As we say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new, it’s natural to want to set goals and make positive changes. Maybe you’ve been wanting to take some action about drinking or using, or you’ve been contemplating a deep dive into your current recovery. We can certainly feel the heat as the internet bombards us for a week or two with squawkings about “resolutions” – it can feel really loaded.
