Weekly Quote: “It’s never too late to become who you want to be. I hope you live a life that you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Contemplation:

~ So much talk about New Year’s Resolutions! It’s hard not to see it as a milestone time signature. “Resolution” refers to the act or process of resolving something. This involves finding a solution or answer to a problem, question, or situation. It encompasses the idea of analyzing and addressing complex issues by breaking them down into more simpler elements, thereby reaching a clear and satisfactory conclusion or answer. If you could pick one issue to resolve, what would it be?

Tip for the Week:

~  Notice the definition suggests breaking a seemingly colossal goal into “simpler elements.” For example, we may have a goal of “decreasing negative self-talk.” This is a tremendous and worthwhile goal. Let’s make it more manageable by adding clear, measurable objectives that lead to the goal’s success. For example, we may say we will notice three qualities about ourselves each day and give three compliments to others to create a more positive atmosphere. We love goals and objectives like these. We can rate our negative self-talk from 1-10 in the beginning and then rate it again in 30,60 or 90 days….yes! Think about a goal for yourself and write it down or write it to me! I wish you a wonderful 2024!
