Hello Everyone,

I hope this moment finds you well.

Weekly Quote:

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.” — Plutarch

Contemplation:

~ I wonder how others influence us. What do we tend to take away from those experiences? Do we have any control over how to utilize those interactions? If so, how? Unless our aim is to be contrary as a defense mechanism it’s hard to argue we are not inspired by each other. We must be; It’s how we work as a species as we are not far from sitting in a forest picking tics from each other’s fur…do monkeys have fur?…or hair?…..anyway….. what is the value of being inspired and how can I CHOOSE to focus on it to improve the quality of my life and change my mood…..like….right now…releasing oxytocin, serotonin and yes, even dopamine.

Tip for the Week:

~  Recall a person who inspired you. What is the story? What is the moment you realized they inspired you and why? What qualities or attitudes did this person possess? What would it take for you to make similar choices?

The Practice:

~ Use this recall skill to change your mood or help you get through a tough time.. ask yourself….” what would (….) do?

Song of the Week:

~ Stay Alive by Jose Gonzales – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NucJk8TxyRg
